An Essential guide to Speed up your PC...


                                    In this post we are going to see some tips to speed up your PC. Follow the tips correctly to experience full performance of your PC.

#1. Change Power Settings ....(If you are using Laptop)
                                 Click on the battery symbol located at Taskbar. click on more power options and choose high performance mode.

#2. Clean Up Temporary files....
                                  Open run by using the shortcut winkey + R. Type 'temp' in the search box and press enter. If you are going there first time it would ask Admin Permission. Click on 'Continue' to proceed. Select all the files in the folder using the shortcut ctrl + A and delete all the files. Some files may not delete because it may be in use. So restart the computer and delete the files.

#3. Clean Up Prefetch files...
                                     Open run by using the shortcut winkey + R. Type 'prefetch' in the search box and press enter. If you are going there first time it would ask Admin Permission. Click on 'Continue' to proceed. Select all the files in the folder using the shortcut ctrl + A and delete all the files.

#4. Clean Up the Disk...
                                     Open 'This PC' and Right Click > Properties > Disk clean Up. When you click disk cleanup it would scan your drive and it put up something to choose. Except 'Windows ESD installation files' Checkout all the boxes and start clean up. Windows ESD installation files are used when you are resetting , If you delete you may face some problems when you reset your PC.

#5. Delete the programs you never use...
                                       Uninstall the programs which are not in use. By doing this you could able to free up some space and some memory.

#6. Check your drive space...
                                       There should be at least 20% free storage space. If not try clearing up space by deleting unwanted files and upload images to cloud and delete it. If nothing is possible upgrade to a larger drive.

#7. Scan your system completely...
                                        Scan your system using trusted and paid antivirus software, as virus may affect the computer's performance. I would recommend to use this tool , this tool is not complete antivirus , this is just a tool to remove Bots if it is installed in your PC.This is a Free software developed by Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) and Quick Heal. #8. Find your Windows Experience Index scores...
                                         This is a tool used to find your PC components performance. This tool could be accessed by command prompt. It benchmarks CPU,3D graphics capabilities,Disk Graphics,Memory. Open command prompt as administrator. use the shortcut Winkey+X and choose command prompt admin. Type "winsat prepop" and then wait for the scan to complete. Open run by using the shortcut winkey + R. Type 'powershell' in the search box and press enter. Go to Windows Powershell and type "Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_WinSAT" and at bottom you may find CPU Score,D3D Score,Disk Score,Graphics Score,Memory Score. If your component's score is below 4 try to change that particular component.
